Thursday, June 25, 2020, 7:30 p.m.: ZOOM meeting: California garden design: Simple steps to make your garden more than a collection of plants, with Scott Kleinrock: Scott's talk moves through the early process of creating a California native garden, from developing a concept through site analysis, design, and installation. It explores how design principles can contribute to the landscape vision for any garden.
Scott Kleinrock is a landscape designer and educator focused on California native and ecological gardens. He is the Conservation Programs Manager at the Waterwise Community Center and Chino Basin Water Conservation District, a small public agency devoted to water conservation through large scale water capture and community education and engagement. Before that he was the Landscape Design and Planning Coordinator at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. He holds a masters degree in landscape architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and lives with his partner, Kyra, and a bunch of (indoor) cats in a big mostly native garden in Pomona.
