Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 3:00-4:30 p.m.: Native habitat garden at Garvey Intermediate School: Leader Jesse Chang. Come visit a three-year-old native habitat garden at a local school that includes various sections and plant communties including chaparral, shade/riparian, meadow grassland, Monarch and hummingbird sections, and even a vernal pool! Jesse, who led this project, will talk about the plant selections and the strengths and challenges of establishing a native garden at a public school.
